Local Air Quality Study and Transportation Study Phase 2 Fall 2024
This research will provide Maricopa County planning authorities and decision-makers with a community focused framework for considering infrastructure projects in the future.

Local Air Quality and Transportation Phase 1 Spring 2024
ASU researchers worked with Unlimited Potential’s Community Health Workers, CHISPA Az, and community members to identify and prioritize community-proposed projects to improve air quality and transportation. Workshops were held in Estrella/Laveen, Mesa, South Phoenix, and Sunnyslope. The main themes that emerged were improving public transportation, enhancing infrastructure, leveraging local resources (solar and renewables), providing financial incentives, and improving safety.
