How You Can Help
Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers can help in many ways: To serve on board committees, especially fundraising and public relations; To assist staff with computer, administrative, and technology challenges; To help with art, music and outdoor activities in our Children’s Program; To conduct activities for children during evening workshops and public school intercessions (October, December, and March); To mentor women who continue their education in community college. E-Scrip
E-Scrip is an easy way to raise funds for UP without you having to donate a dime. Simply go to the e-scrip website at http://www.escrip.com/ and register one or more of your credit cards for the program. Specify Unlimited Potential as your chosen beneficiary and a portion of your purchases will be donated by all participating venders at no extra cost to you. The list pf participating vendors is so extensive that you need not change your shopping habits at all.
AZ Tax Credit
In Arizona, there is a Charitable Tax Credit that can benefit UP because our programs directly benefit working-poor families. This credit is similar to the School Tax Credit. You can contribute to BOTH and you will receive BOTH credits. For 2007 Charitable Tax Credit, you can donate up to $200 per year as an individual and up to $400 per year as a married couple. Cartridge Project
The cartridge project raises funds for UP through the recycling of inkjet cartridges, laser toners and cell phones. Donate your used cartridges or set up a collection box in your office building and give your employees an easy, free way of helping UP’s programs. United Way Payroll Deductions
If your company participates in United Way payroll deductions, you can write in Unlimited Potential, agency #294 on your authorization form. You can specify any amount you want deducted pre-tax and we will receive it automatically from United Way.
Donations
Unlimited Potential, like many small non-profits, relies on individual donations to keep us running. Your cash donations go directly to help women and preschoolers and their families (our administrative costs are less than 5 %) and are tax deductible.
